We support faster more reliable 38/38R bus service, and safety improvements for people walking on Geary. Letter: http://bit.ly/fastsafegeary; Web: http://fastersafergeary.org
Heads up riders! The street I run on, Geary Boulevard, is undergoing surgery over the next two years to install new sewer and water pipes. During periods of construction, some bus stop locations will be temporarily relocated. Give yourself a few extra minutes when you notice construction!

"I know how important @SFMTA_Muni is to the success of our city. Thanks to all our operators. It's not an easy job, but one that has to be done well for our city to come all the way back." 😍 Thank you, Mayor Daniel Lurie for riding Muni on Day 1! See you on the 38. 🚌

Today's Public Works hearing to consider 7 replacement bus shelters along the Geary Blvd. Improvement Project quick-build area went well. We expect a positive recommendation and approval from Public Works! 🥳

The 72+ letters y'all sent in were very much noted with interest! 🙌

I’ve been excited to run faster since I got my Geary Boulevard Improvement Project quick build “speed lift” last year, but my riders got left standing in the rain when some of my bus shelters disappeared. ☔️

📢 BUS SERVICE IS FASTER THAN EVER AND THE MAIN REASON IS TRANSIT PRIORITY LANES 📢

So what should we do as we face a budget crisis for transit and need to increase ridership to reduce traffic and meet our revitalization and housing goals? Hmmmmm...🤔

💅"When I get a neighbor knocking on my door at 9:00 pm because he just can’t wait to tell me all about the fantastic 38R ride he just had, it feels like something is working."

38 Geary travel times are up to 20% faster now!  😍

Huge thanks to Anthony and his fellow SFMTA paint shop workers who did the paint work for the bus stop relocations between 1 and 6am yesterday morning! The new paint looks amazing and smells like...transit priority.

It was great to hear London Breed connect the approval of the Geary Boulevard Improvement Project to new housing on the Westside in her Transit Month speech today. We need a fast, reliable, and efficient transit system for all our neighbors, new and old!

There's no evidence that delaying infrastructure upgrades, in order to avoid the tiny net parking loss incurred by this project, will bring the economic revitalization that the merchants seek. Our press release in advance of tomorrow's hearing on Geary: https://bit.ly/FSG-press

Study after study has found that retailers overestimate the number of their customers who drive, and underestimate walking, biking, and transit. So when cars are reduced on shopping streets, merchants are often pleasantly surprised by the boost to sales.
