Yeah, a typical policy has a $1,000 - $2,500 deductible. Preventative is just small co-pays. But even after you meet your deductible, something like knee surgery will only be covered at 80%. You pay 20% of a huge bill until you hit "out-of-pocket-max" which $5,000 to $7,500 typically.

And, just as a final bitter note, safe streets folks weren't even asking for speed humps originally. Folks wanted protected space for biking and walking on the boulevard. The speed humps were a sour "compromise" b/c at least they would be something. Cutting even the speed humps is just so bad.

Firing Powell will result in a sell off of Treasuries leading to interest rate increases, the opposite of which Trump claims to want. More evidence that this was never about the economy or interest rates. It's about personal control of one of the last independent goverment entities.
