On the one hand I'm glad that they're not constantly winking at the camera, having characters point out how absolutely absurd the entire situation is. On the other hand that kind of irreverence, the MCU style humor people say they're tired of in movies and TV would've really helped out this season.

Was it the version where director John Badham desaturated the colors for the 90s video release or the original theatrical version with the full colors? I know a lot of people prefer the latter and were glad they finally released it.

Most of the Star Wars shows in recent years that have gotten a less than enthusiastic response were written before season 1 of ANDOR came out. If I was one of the other Lucasfilm writers, seeing the show and the overwhelming positive reaction would make me want to do better and raise my game.

It's okay to outgrow the whizbang stuff. You only like the kind you grew up with and that's fine. The problem is you can't let younger fans have their own even when stuff suited to your mature tastes get made.
