Look up classic/vintage watches. Some from the 70s are really cool. Currently have a bit of a thing for Seiko chronographs, so many designs and not massively expensive. Keep for a few years then sell for around the same price.

Although that is true, only up to a certain point I think. What happens when the old guys die? Their stash of stuff will have to be offloaded to someone.
