It was never about saving money. It was all about dismantling agencies and programs Musk and Trump didn’t like and those that were in their way.

Venezuela is over 2,000 miles from the US. There is no fucking way that boat could have made that journey. Conservatively, it would have had to refuel 20 times.

I was going to give the admiral the benefit of the doubt, but if this is true, he needs to be held accountable.

Ah, thanks for the correction.

There is zero chance that Admiral Bradley gave that order. No fucking way a senior military leader would give an unlawful order to kill survivors in the water. I suspect Hegseth gave that order, which is what prompted Bradley’s resignation.

The sad part is I don’t think our relationship with Canada will ever be the same again even when Trump and MAGA are gone.

As others have said, never understood public proposals because they put tremendous pressure on the “yes” and because it publicizes a moment that should be private. Also, agree with the girl’s “no.” His not listening is a harbinger of future problems. Best to figure that out now.

You can count a 55 year old dude in that mix too. Wife and I have been looking at our options, but would like to give it the good fight first. I think we owe that to the younger generations.

This was the lone bright spot on the Senate voting to reopen the government. Johnson will have to call the House back for a vote and swear in Grijalva, which will hopefully mean a vote to release the Epstein files.

Wouldn’t this require a vote in the House and thus require Speaker Johnson to call the House back for a vote? Which would also mean swearing in Grijalva and a vote on the Epstein files release?

I feel like chain restaurants peaked in the 90’s. I will point to Office Space in 1999 and “Chotchkie’s” 15 pieces of flair as the beginning g of their decline.

Watched it last night, great movie. You could feel the tension and panic, very well done!

There are a total of 1.3M active duty service members. Not all of them are on SNAP. I think you meant to mention those out of the total who are on SNAP. When I looked on Google it mentioned 22,000 are on SNAP.

Never thought I’d see the day when Spock would use the word “cocksucker” in a sentence. If the shoe fits…

Anyone who thinks this peace deal is going to last is delusional. Bibi isn’t going to just let the Palestinians move back in Gaza and start rebuilding. Israel will use the pretext of Hamas rearming, whether true or not, and start bombing and shooting Palestinians before the year is out.

He’s genuinely a good guy and is the type of Democrat who could do well in a purple state like Georgia.

Bruuuce!

Yeah, I agree that’s a lot of it—his ability to connect with people and his authenticity.

The most exciting candidate from Democrats since Obama has been Mamdani, a Democratic Socialist mayoral candidate for NYC. While I don’t think Democrats should alienate any wing of their party, the future seems to be more progressive candidates in the mold of Bernie Sanders.

While I think it is fine to broaden the tent, I also think it is important to stand up for what’s right. A case in point Harris’s unwillingness to stand with Palestinians and speak out against Israel’s genocide.

Former lowly Army Captain here, but I’m sure they were watching it with utter contempt and thinking “fuck this guy and that orange draft dodging turd.” Also would imagine there will be some serious soul searching after this meeting.

I don’t want my son serving in a military headed by an alcoholic, racist, Christian nationalist, adulterer. If anyone of these admirals/generals had an officer in their command like Hegseth, he would be kicked out.
September 30, 2025 at 1:06 PM
I can’t imagine the level of contempt these generals and admirals must feel being lectured by a drunk who was an O-4 in the Army National Guard.
