Great article. I have been personally very dissapointed with @laboursatvir.bsky.social all I have seen from her are vauge assurances of support while she ultimately supports the government's position as they roll back rights and increase harmful policies.

Nice photo, but your government has rolled back LGBT+ rights faster than any in recent memory. Even your own party's LGBT+ group is in revolt. What will you actually DO for Southampton's LGBT+ community beyond posting pictures?

While celebrating giving 16-17 year olds their democratic voice, your government denies them agency over their own healthcare. Your puberty blocker ban is causing real harm to trans+ youth. You ignore their autonomy yet simultaneously claim they're mature enough to shape the nation's future.

I don't know what you think this performative outrage is likely to achieve. The Government has failed to take meaningful action to hold water companies to account. SW is openly flouting the spirit of your legislation. When will there be real consequences for their environmental vandalism?
