The itchiness could simply be from wetting. Powder & lotion are helpful. Don’t hesitate to use a lot if needed.

I wouldn't call myself an expert either, so best to wait for more people to chime in!

I usually tighten the top tapes as much as I can to prevent sagging, but I don’t overdo it. I keep the bottom tapes a medium tightness, not too loose to prevent leaks, but not too tight to restrict circulation or hinder movement.
