The beginnings of the demolition for my new #nativepollinator #resistancegarden

it's spring and it's time to flip the compost. (The previous year's mature compost had already been harvested.) The rain did some heavy lifting during the process and the new pile is practically done already.

Spring colors are going to lead to something tasty! (except for the daffodils)

I planted fava beans once, two or three years ago. Since then they’ve always come back, but never in the garden beds. They’re now growing everywhere…by my wood pile, near my compost, next to my lime tree. Who’s complaining?

Potatoes are ridiculously easy to grow and in fact if you forget that they’re there you’ll have a nice harvest when spring comes around and you’re like what did i plant in these grow bags? That’s literally how you find them…practically ready to be put in the pantry, straight out of the ground.

Second yearly pruning of our passionfruit. It went really crazy this year, but the pruning was slightly easier than last year. We collected a ton of fruit that had fallen or was cut off during pruning. Now we look forward to new growth and flowers.

Winter garden is thriving and we are actually eating it.
