Little of both. My current project is a pattern from youtube that I modified to add some extra material on the side so it's fuller in the skirt. If I did a Squall cardigan it'd be the same pattern I've been using but possibly modified as well

Mine kept trying to eat the snow. He has seen snow twice now in his life and though he was whining to go out.... he just wanted to eat the snow
