I like the classic "snuggled up in a blanket with a book/handheld gaming console" thing. Both involve enough light that I usually don't notice when it has gotten dark outside.

I am not a huge fan of the water brushes. I just bought some cheap brushes and a rolling holder. It worked out really well when I was traveling.
