Man, I totally underestimated the "plumbing" required to create a custom email sending feature that's inbox-friendly.

This is for popinvoice.com, so that our customers can email invoices using their own "From" address.

Hatching a new feature for bunni.ai...

o1-mini and o1 are now available on bunni.ai.

o1-mini is impressive. Same price as 4o but much more comprehensive answers.

I can't really see the use of o1 yet for document research use case but included it in anyway. Hoping to discover some neat uses from users!

If you're trying to understand how a particular piece of software or feature is put together, here's a neat way of "reverse engineering" it in Cursor:

Include @codebase so that the AI has access to all of the code, and then ask it to summarise the flow, end to end.

This is the simplest app I've ever built, that I (and some other users) still use regularly: websitemonitor.live.

I haven't even changed the Laravel placeholder logo on it!

And it's free to use - please help yourself.

These 2 parts from Sam Altman's Reflections article gets me excited to be in the AI space.

Nobody really has a recipe to building a business with and for AI.

Which gives solo founders and small teams a huge advantage. We can move faster than incumbents...

Pricing experiment on my Notion date automation tool seems to be working well.

Previous plan: $1 pay per use.
New plan: $5 for 3 days of unlimited use.

Result after 6 days: revenue has already exceeded the all-time total of previous plan.

Best testimonial ever?

Same person submitted the product feedback 3 times. Top one is the latest one.

"the opportunity to go build on your own, try something new, during this exciting time in technology"

This is the same fire that burns inside me and plenty of other startup founders and indie makers.

And it's done!

I built a simple, complete, full-featured, POS system with a kitchen display in 4 hours. Without writing a single line of code myself.

So my wife and I run a popup cocktail bar on the beach. For fun (and a small profit).

We've been using a really clunky order and kitchen display app called Loyverse, which A LOT of restaurants and bars use. But it's the most clunky and bloated product ever.

I've been using Cursor to develop my apps for about 2 months now.

Apart from the obvious 100x dev time speedup, I also found another positive side effect.

I am not overthinking it...

Pop Invoice has taught me so much about how small businesses and freelancers around the world run their businesses. This is what makes working on our humble little invoicing app so rewarding — every user brings a unique approach to invoicing.

I'm thinking something like this would be really useful for Notion database power users: a visual representation of table relationships.
