But Drive To Survive has quickly reshaped how F1 is consumed. Darts has become a comedy event. YouTubers have redefined boxing. The opening ceremony is now the centre piece of the Olympics. Does the FA Cup need something beyond 6 hours of chat around stats to grow a new audience?

That’s kinda what I’m getting at. Bar glasto pyramid headliners, we have nothing to drive British pop culture on this scale and instead rely on decades old IP to drive the conversation. Why no FA Cup half time show?
