You could say the same about other healthcare professionals, particularly nursing staff. And isn't that the problem? You could give paramedics the recognition and associated benefits they deserve but you'd opening yourself up to demands from other professionals.

I've had a look at this and while it's perhaps not as cruel as the Tories it's not great either. As a compassionate person, I'd struggle to support it too. What concerns me about this post, though is the populist tone. Don't like it at all. Few small steps to talking about 'invasions'.

A reminder that he may think he's special but he's just a man for a' that. #AbolishTheMonarchy

This isn't a one-off or confined to the duchies, it runs through the fabric of the monarchy. They're selfish and greedy. The monarchy needs to be abolished so we can get on with creating a fairer society.

The original article was about capacity of state schools to absorb private school pupils. It doesn't seem that's likely to be a problem. I think the increase noted above is a fair point. It's clear that private schools have been increasing fees above inflation for years and that's generally ignored.

Well, the above article says that private school fees have increased but 20% in real terms since 2010. It's not had an impact and, furthermore, there's not been an outcry about it.

Every figure puts the percentage of Edinburgh young people attending private schools at between 20 and 30. There are some from neighbouring authorities and from overseas too. Edinburgh has a lot of private schools.

"Mr McEvoy was invited along by the club for the meeting".
Giving the impression that Will is a so-called man off the people and popped in for a bevvy like normal men of the people do, when the truth is guests were invited. It's pathetic PR.

I've had discussions much like this with friends and colleagues and people never get it. Even people who are the first generation to have something to leave behind just say "I've worked for it, it's mine and I'll want to leave it to them". They never acknowledge how rubbish things are for people.

It's just like reading a piece from those well-trained journalists at the BBC.

That depends on what it is surely? From what I've read, it's the creation of an app. Hardly ambitious and it's not really clear how that will impact waiting lists. I hope as an MP you're not just going to parrot party lines. In this case, it seems you just want to criticise the Scottish NHS.

Great to see but it says that the duchies are private estates. It also says later that they are held in trust for the sovereign and heir. The idea that they are private property needs challenged and clarified.
