I used this workflow to show that C. albicans escape from macrophages using candidalysin + gasdermin D, published in @CellReports last year

C. albicans forms a kind of “poisonous sword” to cut its way out of the macrophage, leaving a mess behind.

I should add the strain was first made by Robert Wheeler, for zebrafish work I think.
