None for me either, I'm a little older, 16 for me would be 1987 and I think the closest for me personally from that year would be R.E.M.'s Document, but I feel that still has some filler tracks.

Closely related, in gaming we call this analysis paralysis, having too many choices and figuring out which one is "best" is too complicated so you do nothing.

I probably would've too, I got the trade paperbacks of those which have different covers. They are quite good, though very very different from the laundry files books (mostly thriller/intrigue - they don't have the humor the laundry books do).
