We are appalled by how the authorities in France continue to treat football fans through excessive measures or outright bans. This is part of a deeply worrying trend. 6/7

Despite the outcome, we thank ANS & FC Bayern for their fast collective reaction to stand up for supporters’ rights. 5/7

For the French police to impose extremely restrictive measures on Bayern supporters, completely compromising their safety, experience, & plans, at a day’s notice, without any legitimate reason, is beyond irresponsible. 4/7

We are now concerned about the safety & well-being of Bayern fans in Paris. We urge French authorities to drop the measures.

If not, they must ensure access to food, water, & medical support. People cannot be treated like this simply for attending a football match. 3/7

Let's be clear. There is no scenario where supporters should be held anywhere for hours without access to water, food, & proper toilet facilities. It is a disgrace to even suggest doing it. 2/7
