The Democratic Party and its corporate backed Neoliberal establishment is not just unable to deal with the fascist threat. It is unwilling to deal with it because any attempt to correct fascism at a structural level, will impact their ability to maintain power and influence.

Simply put Americans are going to have to understand that their comfort is going to be disrupted no matter what they do. The only way forward now is through And Americans are going to have to understand that they will not be comfortable no matter how much they wish they were.

And continue forward without fundamental changes are not just naïve. They are dangerously disconnected from the reality of what America has become what it is hurling towards and the massive amount of disruption that will be necessary to regain a democracy that is even semi functional.

There is no way we return to a pre-trump pre-2024 normal as that world is dead and democracy will have to be rebuilt from the ground up if and when we achieve the ability to oust this regime from power. Fundamental change is already here and anyone thinking that we can go back to the pre-fascist era

Yes, there will be elections in the United States in 2026 and 2028. They just will never be free or fair and what we are seeing or not just in the moment but the infrastructure of authoritarianism and fascist society being put in place and solidified.

no matter how much centrists and liberals want us to go back in time and return to “normal” that is just not possible anymore, and the actions of the Republicans and the fascist movement in America are the actions of a group that does not expect or plan on having elections that matter again.
