Funding cuts could leave countless children without access to basic medical care, increasing the risk of untreated illnesses and higher child mortality rates. Cuts to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) would also worsen food insecurity, leaving up to 1 in 5 U.S. children hungry.
