Church, odd archive, community center basement, backwoods courthouse…there are records hiding everywhere.

There’s always some tiny church somewhere that has records in a basement and those only exist in that place. Sometimes you have to actually go there.

It’s hard to make a book out of some of these ancestors, right? A blog is a great way to share the stories you uncover without the anxiety of trying to make the story substantial enough to warrant a whole book. Can’t wait to read more of your blog!

Absolutely! Find connections wherever they may pop up, and follow those trails. Witnesses at events were probably someone important to your ancestors—find out why!
