Fired, tried, and convicted. At this point, it's about a lot more than justice for one man. We need to set a precedent for the future of our nation, and we need to reassure the world that we're a serious country with some shred of integrity. It would be a grave mistake to show any leniency here.

I feel that. I was out to my mom, but my dad's superpower has always been burying his head in the sand. But he was the first one to stand up for my cousin when he came out. I really think he'd be a great guy without the 24/7 brainwashing. Left to his own devices he makes good decisions.

I have zero respect for his political stances. I do have respect for his work ethic, his commitment to his family, his resilience in the face of hardship, and his dedication to my mom when she got sick. My world isn't that black and white. Trust me, sometimes I wish it was. It would be a lot easier.

I didn't because it's not true. But I did tell him why he was wrong on that issue. He spluttered and changed the subject like he always does when he tries to talk politics with me. I'd just held out hope that he might wake up when he saw this regime committing rampant illegal human rights violations

I can't even begin to process how disappointed I am in my dad after Thanksgiving this year. "But they're all drug runners or we wouldn't be bombing them," is not something I ever thought I would hear from the man who raised me.

More dems need to do this. Face to face, real discussions with kids about the worlds challenges that they will be inheriting. I really wish someone had done that for us when we were dumb sheltered kids. Learning the hard way is... well... hard. Lol
