At least she doesn't have monstrosities like these sitting in her closet. That thing looks like turkey feathers glued to a fan blade.

The cashier was babbling about needing to scan additional code in the app on my phone even after punching in my phone number. WTH? Apparently it was happening to everyone buying that cheese today.

I don't love that they have that pipeline running alongside multiple schools and residential neighborhoods. I've lived in Walnut Creek long enough that I remember the pipeline explosion in 2004, that happened because of Kinder Morgan's inaccurate maps...

Except it's not just KM that has to "deal with it" if construction of the infrastructure for light rail damages that pipeline.

Running a light rail line down the 680 corridor would probably make more sense than using the Iron Horse trail for that, especially with that Kinder Morgan pipeline basically living alongside that trail for large portions of it.

She’s originally from West Virginia.

This made me laugh for a completely different reason. I'm originally from a part of CA where finding a bear at your front door isn't such a surprising thing. 😂

Exactly!

Like no one taught him how to really be a human.

He always seems so awkward, with and without Kitty... Like 3 rabid racoons under a mask and a trench coat.

W&K's candid photos always look so awkward.

Looks like she's about to push him off the side of whatever they're standing on...

The two intersections with signals closest to those parcels y'all want to plop 12 houses into already get heavy every time there is a shift change at Kaiser, every time parents are dropping kids off/picking them up at school or when there's an accident on the freeway.
May 9, 2025 at 10:38 PM
That's not a middle school. That's a K-8 school that has students attending from outside the immediate neighborhood. The elementary school next to it also serves more than the immediate neighborhood around it.

Nevermind Kaiser, a mall and a high school already making traffic a mess there.
May 9, 2025 at 10:36 PM
It seems like a really dumb idea to build a bunch of houses into a neighborhood whose infrastructure can't really support it.

Developers only listen to their bottom line.
May 9, 2025 at 9:19 PM
Putting 12 homes in that spot would be insane. Newell Ave at that point is one lane in either direction and couldn't handle the increased traffic.
