That seems so odd to me. If you're bothering to vote, you must already have an opinion on the issues. I don't put it past human nature to want to say "I voted for that item/person that won," but I don't quite see how seeing how others voted would make you change your opinion.

I was always under the impression that "ranch" referred to livestock, and "farm" was for produce. For avocado growing I prefer the term "jungle"

Try putting them in a paper bag with an apple, fold the top and sit for a few days to a week. Persimmons picked when yellow should color up eventually. (Picked when green will never get there afaik and it's possible these were.) I think the instacart shopper didn't know how to choose a persimmon.

A lawsuit is the only thing you can expect Trump and Co to respond to. Polite and probably even impolite requests will be ignored -- they see it is publicity, no matter if it's good or bad.

It's probably about who pays the bribe. Tylenol is bad because they haven't paid yet. Once they pay it will become some other boogeyman (although it can't be anything that "woke" people are concerned about stopping, e.g. pollution)

At this point, yes. As soon as it happened, all right wing media was off and running stating with absolute confidence a left winger did it. I got downvoted on a different social network by saying "just as likely right or left, nothing is known yet".

I'm pretty sure there's going to be selective memory. The fact that they can delude themselves into thinking that only the left relies on violence suggests there will always be people who will repeat that a left wing transgender assassinated Kirk.

I got fired from a job once. It was one of the happier days of my life because management was senseless and unsupportive. Quitting had been in my sights. Then, same day, they offered to hire me back as a consultant. I told them to get fucked, they just fired me, why would I want to work for them?

"Historically" I would guess refers to a specific time period in history -- 60s/70s, Panthers, etc -- while the last 5 years is not "historically"

Same age, same boat. At this point I'm not sure we'll ever get back even a fraction of the standing we had prior to this administration. I agree, the cracks were showing decades ago, but the split over having a Black president really broke us. Stupid people are running the US now.
