Honestly enjoy this one a lot more than the first mystical ninja on n64 it feels a lot more organized and tightly paced. I wonder if the us version still has the opening dormant in the files, as both versions are 16MB and the voice samples have to be a big chunk of that.

And finally the worst is flash memory as it’s a lot more prone to failure than the other chips and has the lowest write count of them all. I feel like even if it meant only one save file, majoras mask would have been better off on sram, also what the hell do the stadium games need 128kilobytes for?

4.eeprom chip on cartridge
You may not need to worry about a battery but it has an actual write limit. While most games were made understanding that limit there’s games like diddy kong racing that writes to the chip every time you retry a stage. If it dies it’s not very feasible to replace

Same 32 kilobyte battery backed memory as memory cards except their tied to the cart so they have to be replaced on a per game basis.
Still pretty good though for all the reasons I praised sram for.

The memory cards themselves are sram which means their batteries need to be changed every now and then, but they have unlimited writes.
If you get the foreverpak 64, you get all those benefits without needing to think about batteries!
