I’m listening to Morning Joe right now and disappointed that Joe’s question centers on what happens next. Not on the justification for invading Venezuela in the first place. Americans do not own the hemisphere and an imperialist and aggressive US does not serve our people or long term interests.

OMG we are a criminal country

This is really about money. Venezuela has a lot of oil. Kushner has a private equity fund to fund oil development. This is all about using the US forces to enable Trump and his cronies to get richer.

What justification was there for the US invading a sovereign country, then kidnapping the President. So that Trump and his people can profit off the oil reserves. This is a shameful act of aggression by the US.

Follow the money. Who paid Trump off? For this I’m sure he got a few million. Those that voted for Trump will one day be embarrassed they did.

100% McConnell knows better and could have prevented this. He manipulated Supreme Court nominations, and prevented any checks and balances on Trump. This descent into lawlessness lands in his lap.

Yes exactly. The new prices become the new “normal” particularly now that no other country trusts the US and are quickly establishing alternative trading relationships

One can only hope that we the people will be able to restore the institutions and rule of law that alllows the people to hold their leaders accountable. Right now it doesn’t look like things are headed in that direction.

And take the tax write off with our money. What a crook. Nixon must be spinning in his grave. The level and breadth of corruption in this administration must be addressed by the people or this democracy is lost.
