"If being a twat was a TV show, trump would be the boxed set."

-Nate White
I should have voted for trump because he had the best chance of defeating trump?

Sure

Makes perfect sense

Not much to decide: voting against Vance, or Rubio, or trump, Jr, or whomever they put forth will probably be a pretty easy call
December 7, 2025 at 9:52 PM
So your line of argument is that since Obama did bad thing, bad thing is OK?

Is it that supporting anyone, on any level, means you unwaveringly support all they do?

Or is it that only people of sufficient purity, untainted by any events of the past, may now complain?

Either way...bizarre

Are you at all familiar with the concept of cloture?

Undoing the DHS merger, for example, will require legislation
December 7, 2025 at 5:31 PM
Yes, it was

But how does that make what we're seeing today OK?
December 7, 2025 at 5:29 PM
Moral superiority cosplay seems like fun, for some folks, and easier, too, when you just randomly make shit up
December 7, 2025 at 5:28 PM
If you think Harris and trump are exectly equally evil, that is, in fact, a push

I think youi'ree wrong, but, whatever
December 7, 2025 at 5:11 PM
And now we have the better choice?

I'm thinking...not
December 7, 2025 at 5:04 PM
Sure did: voted for the only possible candidate who could defeat trump

Did you?
December 7, 2025 at 5:02 PM
Game out not voting: you don't show up, the GOP does, and, again, we get a trump

Feel like that was our best possible outcome?
Really?

Was there really just the one issue for you?

'Cuz, im my world, other things were happening, too, as Bernie was telling us at the time

So you really think immigration enforecement hasn't changfed at all?

Maybe you might want to ask immigrants about that

I don't recall Obama running in '24
December 7, 2025 at 4:55 PM
This is what ICE was doing under Obama?

Where and when?
December 7, 2025 at 4:49 PM
You really think trump in 2020 was the better choice?

To put it simply...no
December 7, 2025 at 4:45 PM
Elections are won or lost long before the voting starts; besides being just a godawful candidate, Jill Stein also wasn't really a choice: if you're still below 1% by Election Day, you already lost

Why would I waste a vote on a candidate who had a literal near-zero probability of defeating trump?
December 7, 2025 at 4:42 PM
Biden would have been much better off not seeking that 2nd term, but there is no rational basis for arguing that Harris is just as bad as trump...and here's Bernie, to help make that point

As the minority party in the House Dems can introduce resolution s seeking impeachment (and they have: see H Res 415 and 537, 119th Congress), but it's the (all GOP) Committee Chairs and Speaker who decides if those bills ever see a vote

Why would I even perform that analysis?

Seems like a waste of time and energy
December 7, 2025 at 4:25 PM
If you came here to make the argument that enlightened people should never vote becauise...reasons...seems like you would be able to game that out fairly quickly and the likely outcome is permanent GOP rule, so no thank you
December 7, 2025 at 4:23 PM
I can't help but notice you never want to let trump be part of the conversation, and you can't, apparently, support anybody, which I find telling in terms of being serious

Who did you like in '24, more than Harris?

Senator Unobtanium?

Governor Vaporware?

So if it's a push over genocide, then maybe we should next think about if we want the child rapist and white supremacist, or maybe we should vote to, you know...prevent that
December 7, 2025 at 10:17 AM
Being able to observe quantifiable differences between outcomes is not the same as "you don't care"
December 7, 2025 at 10:14 AM
I believe voting for Harris would have put us in a much better place than where we are now

Do I think she'd be stormtrooping from city to city?

No I do not

Shutting off visas by race?

Nope

Deporting non-criminal legal residents?

No

Literally disappearing people?

No
