I’m finding this to be a grounding truth. In the midst of conflict, in crisis, finding the cracks in compassion and empathy tells where fear is coming from. Once we can see where the love —in even its most fundamental form of recognizing our humanity— is hemorrhaging out, then we can begin repair.
