Walking distance to a cafe but a shortish car journey to a supermarket. Try Berriedale Fisherman’s Cottages run by the Landmark Trust. Just wonderful!

These are a few photographs I took in 1975 when I worked on a container ship and was berthed at Norfolk, Virginia. Sad to realise the liner was never looked after for future generations to visit.

Hard to believe but it was 25 years ago I was passing the Cartoon Gallery across from the British Museum and noticed the Chris Riddell cartoon published in The Observer ‘celebrating’ the end of the last Century for sale. Has been on my wall ever since!!
