I guess I'll continue with FE: Sacred Stones then! Which I am also having a lot of fun with! I have a GBA cartridge but the Switch-version is a little more convenient right now. I decided to play the game with German text to practice it a little, and I feel like I'm actually getting a little better!

But like. I gotta be careful. I say "just one more song (:" and then 6 hours has gone by and I've not eaten or gone piss girl or gone to sleep yet. But like. I'll do all that after just one more song, it'll be fine. I promise.

Though I love all my pkmn equally, Samantha is definitely in the top tier for me. I love her.

Oh, and lemme tell y'all. I'm having a fucken BLAST coming up with names - again, it's fascinating how this has got me interested in pkmn much more than any official game ever really has. I think Sapphire is the only game I've really stuck with, tho I never finished it in any way.

It's just so SO much more fun for me to grind levels to see what the next evo will be! And the designs are AMAZING - it's so awesome to see further interpretations of the pkmn I grew up with! And while they are clearly not made by the OG pkmn artists, they still look like they belong in the game!

IN SHORT: I wanted to have a little fun expanding upon some fantasy currencies, blinked one (1) time and suddenly 5 hours had gone by and I sat with spreadsheets full of math that MIGHT be mathing (who knows). Now, would I do it again? Yeah, I probably will – I DID have a lot of fun!

Eg. one currency is more stable/dominant than others, and so some of the currencies' exchange rates would be calculated based on the first. However, the stable/dominant currency depends on the type and region, so some rates are calculated rather differently than others.

Not only do I have a sheet listing all currencies and their (relative) exchange rates, I also have a sheet that can take an input amount of one currency and calculate what it amounts to in the other currencies. ALSO I spent a lot of time thinking how the rates relates to each other.

Naturally it follows that, since different regions have different currencies, it should be possible to exchange one for the other, right? Of course it does. Which is how I ended up with my chaotic spreadsheets.

Like, figuring out different types of currency that fit thematically with a region, while also reflecting how that region would engage in trade-relations. It also opens up thoughts about what kind of materials are available for a region in the making of their currency.

I'll be holding off on OT2 for a while BUT. I did play the demo and I am REALLY excited to play it! It's so cool seeing what a complete glow up it's gotten!! And I feel like it really evolves a lot of the systems from the first game!
