there wayyy too late and find the novilisk entirely missing, only finding a crater in the planet where it should've been.
that'd lead into the affini segment of the story since they'd find affini working on terraforming and repairing the crater.
there'll be a lot more story between all of that, but-

the general idea of the pre-affini part of the story taking place on a ship dedicated to repaires and recoveries of damaged and broken space ships, generally out in deep space.
