I watched the entire monologue after Rachel handed off to him and it was legit wack the whole time. Like Lawrence usually is on point but holy fucking shit, he missed the moment on this one by a wide margin. Disappointed in his attempt to defend the dems folding on the ACA subsidies.
November 11, 2025 at 6:02 AM
Reposting this but:

People forget Lawrence legit worked for Sen. Moynihan who had close, close ties w/ Schumer. Like, there’s a reason he tried defending Schumer & yapped about the “difficult position” he was in. As if he even tried to whip his own Senate whip.

People forget he legit worked for Sen. Moynihan who had close, close ties w/ Schumer. Lawrence legit gave the worst take he’s ever given on anything. Also if you can’t whip your own WHIP, why the fuck are you leading the Senate opposition to Trump?
November 11, 2025 at 3:56 AM
Nah it’s getting real weird because these people literally accept every single they’re told as fact. Like Lawrence is usually on point w/ his monologues but you HAD to admit tonight was a massive miss from him but some of y’all are like… flip flopping so quickly that it’s scary.
November 11, 2025 at 3:48 AM
Tone deaf* oops.
November 11, 2025 at 3:34 AM
It’s so wack. Literally tone dead the whole time about how the GOP apparently CAVED??? to the democrats? And literally gave a full-hearted defense of Chuck Schumer. Like he’s usually on point with his monologues about Trump being the most deranged man to hold office but this was something else. :/
November 11, 2025 at 3:34 AM
He tried framing the caving as the republicans caving to the 8 democrats and I was just like, oh… not the fiery A-block I was expecting. In fact, it was the opposite.
November 11, 2025 at 3:07 AM
a shame cuz it was just a rehash of the same old “we hope republicans can come negotiate with us before they eviscerate the federal workforce” :/
September 30, 2025 at 2:22 AM
AS if they weren’t already dwindling after mika and joe went down to mar-a-lago and kept trump on speed dial (as we know when joe admitted a few days ago that he was in contact w/ 47).

and when y’all made shitty hires & axed reid, phang, mohyeldin’s shows.
September 13, 2025 at 3:40 AM
idk what kutler is thinking but msnbc is pandering to no one. who is their target audience that isn’t already fulfilled by independent media sources (i.e. @katiephang.bsky.social or @joyannreid.bsky.social)…

…you’re alienating the resist libs and the anti-trump GOPers lmao w/ dowd’s fire
September 13, 2025 at 3:40 AM
yall better cover the stuff happening in poland at some point cuz no network has jumped on that yet…
September 10, 2025 at 2:12 AM
i wishhhh msnbc would give u two a long form podcast like nicolle for stuff like this omg.
September 5, 2025 at 5:41 AM
literally, because all these fuckwit leftists know what to do is constantly critique power. its like ALL they do is yap and provide no substance.
July 30, 2025 at 7:23 PM
DUDEE. straight up say u will endorse a potential run for harris on fox news rn with martha maccallum instead of pandering to fucking queen b. like whooo the fuck is ur social media intern oh my goddd.
July 30, 2025 at 7:18 PM
asking for grassroots donations while taking corporate PAC money so u can stoop and eventually become the next kyrsten sinema?

great work, schumer-endorsed and gillibrand-supported haley fucking stevens!
July 30, 2025 at 7:15 PM
a harris/beshear ticket >>> ANYTHING with josh shapiro or jd vance on it!!

one step closer to vp beshear.
July 30, 2025 at 7:11 PM

July 17, 2025 at 11:38 PM
dear lord, i have never seen worse deflection than this — suddenly shifting to a shtick about male submission oddly feels like a projection on your behalf.
July 7, 2025 at 12:08 AM
literally transplanted from the washington post and onto msnbc where i had never seen her before by rebecca kutler after kutler had personally axed joy reid & the amazing katie phang.
July 6, 2025 at 10:43 PM
and what dems need is someone who can tell properly voters why and how trump’s actions are bad for them and then also tell those voters why democrats have resisted trump’s agenda and need their vote to resist further. schumer isn’t that nowadays. he’s great at legislating but not at communication
July 6, 2025 at 9:35 PM
schumer can legislate perfectly: he sheparded through biden’s more transformative agenda pieces in a 50-50 senate when manchin & sinema were stonewalling the ambitious pieces.

but he’s shown now how he can barely message and what democrats need is someone who can message on trump’s harmful actions
July 6, 2025 at 9:32 PM
and sure he’s messaging them but it’s so lackluster to the senatorial campaigns he could be mounting to voters for democratic candidates in the next midterms in states like NC or even IA about how senate dems used everything to oppose a bill that cut their medicare through sequestration
July 6, 2025 at 9:12 PM
i’m saying he isn’t properly messaging the GOOD things senate dems did.

all he’s gotten out effectively was literally striking the bill’s name out and a strongly worded “letter” against disproportionately pro-billionaire tax cuts, medicare cuts, and literal trump accounts — and little on his action
July 6, 2025 at 9:10 PM
2.) and on top of flooding the bill with amendments, using the parliamentarian to strike out horrendous provisions

but instead of telling the median voter “dems tried to stop and stall these cuts by using senate procedure,” the main sticking point for them is: “bill name is gone yay”
