Like she is doing such heavy lifting to get me to care about him and his supporting cast and you know everyone's gonna forget all the cool stuff from Secret Six immediately.

I think there are ideas here that could work, it definitely needs more red but I kinda like the dracula collar and the yellow belt/cape.

It's a very 'okay man I get that you just said that because it was thematic but I need you to stick to your word'

Superheroes in this universe post-date the colonization of America by like... a significant portion, they only predate the American revolutionary war by half a century.

Jamestown had been around for a century before these heroes showed up. They were past the knights and armor phase.

Just realized it reminds me of the Scooby Doo movie because similarly he does something for shock value that everyone else has already criticized or changed or just isn't valuable.

I was like, "Oh maybe it won't be about that" and then... shockingly, it was about that.

I definitely agree. It doesn't make any sense to play Warlock without Eldritch Blast. And I do enjoy warlock and how it functions (even as someone who basically only multiclasses when playing D&D at this point). I was just saying that it's a part of D&D that there are limited Character options.

I think in fairness this is an issue of 'D&D has limited player options' to some extent (which is fine). Like you can technically build a Warlock without Eldritch Blast, but it's objectively worse, you lose access to a huge number of eldritch evocations and it's a really strong cantrip already.

Not a big fan of the new Jon Kent costume... but I kind of am theorizing that it's because they're gonna do another Supersons book in the near future and they're trying to give the Supersons matching costumes (both are grey with a couple specs of color).

I read Issue #1 and went "Fuck there's drama! There's character conflict! There's an interesting hook for the rest of the series! It's going to follow up on prior series Probably! Like insane for Jon Kent to get that."

But from what I can tell, Blue Superman means that he works exactly like Superman but sometimes he's got a lightning effect on his character design...

And there is a lot I could play with there!!! Jon's powers being tied specifically to Earth means that his powers weaken when he's away from Earth, it also gives you room to play with ideas about his baseline Kryptonian stuff being slightly weaker than Superman's...

Like Jon is a child of Earth's electromagnetic Field, his electromagnetic powers come not from his Kryptonian side but from being born on Earth, a secondary strange power source... is conceptually cool to me?
