Then, like at a funeral you move along to grieve in the corner. Maybe crying. Maybe just looking at the floor dry eyed. You think about your family who spent years there. How your younger siblings will never get to experience what you got to experience. And you feel it deep in your gut.

It feels like a person dying. You see their corpse. It's them there. But the memories are no longer there. You stare at the corner of the room where your bed was... then to where your pictures of you as a baby and as you grew up hung... to your desk where countless hours of studying were spent.
