I've been on holiday in Turkiye for the last two weeks. What did I do? Read some papers, practiced for my 2km open water swim, spotted a bunch of bugs and saved bees. 10/10 Would love to come back 😍

Even though my new job is not an academic position, I'm still so happy that I get to work on plant-insect interactions and IPM of aphids.
Also unrelated the location definitely allows for very nice walks on the occasionally rare sunny day

I'm starting a new job in January and I wanted to know if I could make it to work in time and still swim in the morning. So obv I first swam 2 km at 7 am and then biked for 14 km 🥵 I made it in time, but at what cost

Love this idea so much! 😁

I'm a bisexual trans woman from the Netherlands, currently unemployed, but looking for postdocs (and writing grants) on aphid multi-trophic interactions in a climate change context!

Just had the first session for the new book in our queer book club! We're reading Little Blue Encyclopedia (for Vivian) by Hazel Jane Plante. Such a beautiful book and the perfect book to read after Stone Butch Blues - Leslie Feinberg in our series on genderqueer literature! 😊🏳️‍⚧️

A few months ago, after my PhD graduation, I decided to get back into swimming after 10 years. Since I'm still struggling to find a postdoc in my field, I decided that my swim performance over the last few months may be an interesting dataset to keep myself busy with. Here's the first results 😁

This week I was at the International Congress of Entomology in Kyoto! Not only did I meet so many amazing people, but also present a poster on my PhD. Being awarded with both the poster award for young scientists and poster award for woman's scientist was the cherry on top! 🍒 #ICE2024Kyoto
