There is no reason now. ICE has caused this unrest using fascist brutally.
Trump is using this unrest to get the military on the street under his control, to stop or restrict voting in democrat states. When he invokes the insurrection act he will do just that.

Not a good idea. Trump will nationalize them, making them regular army under his control.

We will never see them as long as he is president.

If he declares martial law in one state and gets away with it, the rest of the states are next. He is asking to increase the military budget by 50%. Pretty easy to see where that would go.

Washington was the most vocal opponent of parties. In his famous Farewell Address l
• Become "potent engines" for "unprincipled men" to subvert the power of the people.
• Lead to a "spirit of revenge" between different groups.
• Distract the government and "enfeeble" the administration.

Hope that means something.

Just the beginning. Minnesota is a test case.

Some of that Trump did that on his own. He didn’t even consult congress

We had a 90% tax on the wealthy in the 50’; a 70% tax on the wealthy in the 60s and 70s.
You’re right… the wealthy isn’t taxed nearly enough (like they once were). There are so many tax breaks they really don’t have to pay any taxes at all. Some states are implementing a wealth tax. Good start.

There’s no pure capitalism or pure socialism anywhere - just different combinations of market and government intervention countries tweak based on what they value. Social democracy like Western Europe, Canada and Australia? Some on the right call that socialism… We’re not to far from that socialism

They didn’t expect to have parties at all.

He has (under his direction) had already taken ownership in
in some companies… Intel for example. He might as well own all major companies. He has intimidated and extorted them with negative actions by government agencies… SEC, ITC

Democracy is supposed to be enforced fairly and equally. No one above the law.
There is no semblance of that today. They don’t even pretend to enforce the law fairly.
January 13, 2026 at 3:11 PM
Trump’s goons are doing just that. How can this be stopped?
January 13, 2026 at 1:09 AM
He forgot?

Government are not supposed to fund social programs. The constitution doesn’t say that. Just because a government funds a bridge doesn't mean it should fund a lifestyle. There is a hard line between infrastructure (which enables freedom) and social programs (which manage life outcomes).
January 12, 2026 at 10:07 PM
Individuals and private corporations do not own "everything." A massive portion of the country is publicly owned and managed. Land, infrastructure, utilities, etc. Further, the government has recently used taxpayer dollars to take direct financial ownership in private companies (like Intel).

Sounds like the latter. Under this regime the legislature and Supreme Court have gone AWOL. Just puppets like Putin’s Russia. The hubris, blunders and cruelty of this regime will have consequences internationally.
