I haven't watched any of Yellowstone, but yeah, every show centered around an anti-hero makes the audience empathize with or otherwise admire the anti-hero, even if they're bad folks.

Examples: Walter White, Tony Soprano, Al Swearengen, Don Draper, Tyler Durden, Patrick Bateman, etc.
