Marmite lover.
When will we get a live action Saving Nemo? That, I would pay money to see.

Another example of too much stuff. But probably I would amend my position to there's too much stuff and it's almost all trash.

I try not to think about the events of this year in that sphere because honestly, if I do, I just want to cry. Only we could turn winning a thing into a disaster that has had massive (bad) ripple effects.

Mean. It's still too soon.
November 17, 2025 at 11:23 PM
It's not so much the existence of the Met ball I have an issue with. It's the sudden conspiracy in our media that pretend that it *matters* and that anyone *cares*.
November 17, 2025 at 11:07 PM
There's just too much stuff now.
November 17, 2025 at 11:06 PM
But. Him from time heist/w1a/broadchurch... I spent a good few minutes trying to remember where I'd seen him before while watching wicked the other day. And he's the main guy. But he's not a film star. Even though he is. By job.
November 17, 2025 at 11:04 PM
There are still film stars though. Ryan Reynolds. And I feel like RDJ still will be, however awful the next film is.
November 17, 2025 at 11:01 PM
Yep I love ABY and I honestly wouldn't recognise him in a line up

I've never used one either, actually. I am however aware that I'm paying more tax than ever. And not because I've had a payrise.

Oh yeah, wifi they can do. Just not seats. Or the number of carriages advertised (and with reserved seats). Or heating in the wintertime air con in the summer. Those, they can't do. But WiFi? Sure. Cos that's important.

There are hundreds and hundreds of people applying for the jobs my kids are applying for (different fields also). Even second round interviews are often double digit numbers.

I remember.

Well to be fair he was selling a whole different flavour of flim flam. Also given the whole issue of Sunak's suits that didn't even fit him, I'd've thought that the safest and also best thing to do would have been to steer well clear of anything fancy. But as we have established, what do I know.
November 16, 2025 at 11:33 PM
A suit is a suit. The idea that made to measure looks any different at a glance than John Lewis is just flim flam. Yes I was one of the people who had no trouble with Foot's coat. Or Corbyn's jumpers actually.

Thing is though... they earn enough money to pay for their own clothes. They really do.
November 16, 2025 at 11:19 PM
And the policy choices.
November 16, 2025 at 11:08 PM
I see worrying similarities between him and me. Grew up quite close. Same youth orchestra. Same instruments actually. Both professionals but started life working class. However, footy preferences create an insurmountable gulf. And I am v disturbed by many things the govt are going or not doing.

People may think they are voting tactically but there will be so much disinformation flobbing around they may well find themselves voting tactically for the other lot (for some value of other lot).
November 15, 2025 at 1:22 PM
It really doesn't feel like he's in charge, you know?
November 15, 2025 at 12:42 AM
The quality of people in the party isn't what it once was. I have no idea why. But it feels like it might be true. 2/2
November 15, 2025 at 12:25 AM
No, I know you weren't. But the 'why do I almost always back the loser' question is interesting to me and I am - for the first time- super worried about it. And I do think the lukewarm pro-ness for him was, while it lasted, not confined to boomers. I do think one reason for all of this is that 1/2
November 15, 2025 at 12:25 AM
Also I'm nowhere near 70.
November 15, 2025 at 12:09 AM
Ive always assumed, on post election days when we have lost (most of them), that I'm such an inveterate loser because I'm out of step with people. I've never felt the need to be in step but this time round that's... a problem. To lose this time would be a catastrophe. For the reasons you said. 2/2

I was pro Starmer to begin with. Up until he made Nandy culture sec. And then I was neutral for a while. My hope had been that he'd be ok and wouldn't tank the economy. Low bar but, you know. His competition for leader were all worse. Now I'm pro nobody other than miliband. 1/2
