I forgot the birthday of a friend and finally had an idea for a motiv I could try. This sketch is the result, obviously very different to what I originally had in mind. Now I'm scared to ruin it with paint... because that never goes as well as I'd like... well... whatever. Let's try

Deep Waters

Be calm,
be unassuming.
Calm waters might be deep,
they might be unassuming.
Don't disrupt them,
you may wake their monsters.
Let them sleep,

They won't tolerate your tantrums forever.

I was too tired to upload this in a reasonable way yesterday. So here it is again.

This is so different to my usual style of drawing but it was...relaxing. surprisingly.

Not sure if there is a need for a warning or whatever but let's be safe

I guess I have to spend the evening with writing because I just listened to a song and had one of the best ideas for a scene... why is life so unpredictable?

I used the earth hour yesterday to put away my electronics and do my dayly sketches with candlelight. It was nice. Sitting in the dark with some soft lighting. What a pleasant atmosphere.

I will probably keep working on the sketch a bit more, so...let's see where this goes.

Now that I think about it... I don't think I shared the Hexcore I made here... it was supposed to be just a first try from some rubbish I had laying around. But for a first try, it came out nicely. I'm not sure if I want to make another one, though.

Page 2 of today's sketches isn't so bad... I'm really bad at shoes... but last time, I did some character design (because I love(d) the idea of the character and couldn't help it) they came out great.

Oh, and moustache Layton. Or is it?

You know I had to. I did Luke and Flora with/in(?) ink, so now I had to do a collection of elements for the Professor himself.

And Luke with a moustache has to be shared. That's what was missing in the last specter..

Sooo...after Sycamore I had to do a woman from Professor Layton since it's International womens Day. Now, those who know the series would've chosen Emmy for that, no question, but really... Flora deserves so much better in the games. She's great and fun, and that's why I drew her.

I went from Baldurs gate to Arcane and then back to Professor Layton with my little obsessions, and I love Sycamore/Descole as a character, so he was my "study subject of the day" in my attempt to practice drawing daily.

Made a small mistake, so now he has a sunburn?

I finally tried to bring a sketch from about 2 years on a canvas.

Here now my fantasy fish painting.

My lovely kitty of almost 18 years of age left us yesterday. I calmed down now but am still crying from time to time. I just wanted to share a bit of her cuteness and sillyness.

And, since I'm already here, lets follow that up with a little something.

First, I don't play LoL but started to watch Arcane with a friend who does. And one of his favourite champions is Gnar, so guess what I did.

Since I don't do one thing only - like only drawing or making masks or whatever - there's going to be mix of whatever is going on or even old stuff on here. Let's get creative! 😁
