The gratitude and encouragement are for showing up. I left with a good impression. She acknowledged and unequivocally opposed Trump's and Musk's assault on the structure and functions of the federal government.

We should. This last one, they chose the date for symbolic reasons (3/14 referring to section 3 of article 14 of the constitution, the one that says insurrectionists are prohibited from public office).

That said, I'm sometimes surprised how many of us are leftist, or at least left-leaning.

I know many veterans who wouldn't show up for many of the causes dear to the left, but with whom Defend Our Constitution would resonate.

Much of the crap Musk and Trump are pulling right now is unconstitutional, but I don't expect Congress or the Supreme Court to do their jobs anymore. That's why I'm looking for places to put my body.
