my friend and i have been watching a steady stream of bizarre japanese films, but somehow neither of us were prepared for one to just pull out HIDEAKI GODDAMN ANNO

It's a CD copy of "Slain by Urusei Yatsura" by Urusei Yatsura leaning up against a stack of countless other CDs. The cover consists of a close-up of a cassette tape player with the words "Slain By" in a black font and "URUSEI YATSURA" in tiger fur lettering over it.

the first time i ever named a pc, i decided to name it after the powerpc architecture because... i'm a sucker for the word "power" 😅. the external drives followed suit; and now that i'm on a new build, that nomenclature's continued. and it's called a monolith because... well, it IS a monolith 😵

I am simply using it for purposes of illustration; he has built his computer inside a Pop XL Silent case by Fractal Design, which is the same case the Monolith has been built inside. The Pop XL Silent case is style through its absence; if the side weren't off like it is in this picture, it would be nothing more than a rectangular prism with a power button and two USB ports on top and feet on the button.
