I think they saw the results of that election and realized that if they redistricted a significant number of them would end up losing. If you’re a rep in a R+14 district and would get redrawn as an R+7 district, and you see 10-15 point shifts, you’re shitting bricks.

With a history like that and a yes vote for Trump it feels like he’s signaling his intent to the administration to be chosen for the cabinet. I give it two months and this guy is in the White House.

They’re probably only allowing the review of the files in a SCIF to prevent the files from being leaked. It would explain why they spoke to Boebert in the Situation Room as well, since that’s also a SCIF.
