Embracing my Britishness by finding contentment in the queue to board a plane, I’m oddly serene. There’s comfort in our quiet anticipation, the ritual of waiting, the serenity of facing the back in front of me. Only moving when they move.

As I grow older, it feels easier to wallow in regrets and pessimism, which weigh heavily on my journey, slowing me down and making my path forward feel narrow and constrained. I have to remind myself what it felt like when I was younger, having endless optimism and potential for a bright future.
