In case it wasn't enough that I've run my first FabRiders live event this week, I've also managed to get an article published in the Internet Exchange. #overachieverin'26 https://internet.exchangepoint.tech/what-do-we-want-to-stop-using-google-docs/?ref=internet-exchange-newsletter

Do I really need all these platforms reminding me what a crap year 2025 was?

I’m starting 2026 by running my first live event in this decade. My own, not someone else’s. This has left me giddy beyond belief.

I’ve just bought an hour of airplane wifi to watch the second episode of Alien Earth because it failed to download before take-off and I just get an error message saying the content is “not available in your region”

What region? This airplane?

Why is airplane wifi consistently mean to me?

I have reached a new epiphany. I’ve drunk an espresso tonic. This is the drink by which I will judge all others.

Ofcourse a self-described micro-bakery is going to be so much better than just a common run of the mill small bakery.

Who knew I needed to go to a city to see wildlife. This was taken the other night at the top of Bernal Heights.

Just wondering if anyone can do journalling AND social media? How does one grapple with doing both?

Embracing my Britishness by finding contentment in the queue to board a plane, I’m oddly serene. There’s comfort in our quiet anticipation, the ritual of waiting, the serenity of facing the back in front of me. Only moving when they move.

As I grow older, it feels easier to wallow in regrets and pessimism, which weigh heavily on my journey, slowing me down and making my path forward feel narrow and constrained. I have to remind myself what it felt like when I was younger, having endless optimism and potential for a bright future.

Getting involved with the #riseagainstbigtech coalition showed me that leaving Big Tech isn’t just about new tools—it’s a collective, values-led journey. Mission-driven migration builds trust, autonomy & digital justice. Change is hard but solidarity & collective action make it possible.

This […]
