Cosplay tip! Basting isn't just for holding things in place before you sew. It can also hold things in place and mark stitching lines while you take it apart because you have to redo the goddamn thing fml

Tacked the false collar in with big stitches so it can be removed easily for washing
It's only tacked to the edge of the lace so the edges of the white can flop over each other
I'll probabaly slap a snap on there to keep the false collar crossed properly

The lace doesn't go all the way to the edge because it doesn't cover the overlap in the art??? It's really weird lol

The loops are obviously not sewn up yet (they still need interfacing, too), but I arranged it like this so you can see how cute it will be with the tails with their ruffles 🧡
