I make things, mostly sewing and knitting, but always ready to learn new things. Obsessed with dogs, but cats are cool too.

Two blankets to donate to Welcome Baby. They are so soft and squishy. Knitting is my escape from reality.

Successfully completed my son's tax returns. Every year, I warn him that I may not be able to do this anymore and he will have to pay an accountant, but i manage to figure it out. Mine are too complicated. I sort of enjoy the challenge of doing his. It's a puzzle. I'm weird.

The real reason libraries are so valuable is that if anyone talks to you there, you can legitimately just shush them. Right to their face. And scowl too. Brilliant.

This morning is the last morning for this sweet boy. He is very unwell, and it is time to end his suffering. He spent most of his life in a horrible situation. At least he was able to know love and safety for a while.

Yesterday, I had to cut off a very old friend because he was rapidly supporting Trump. He has been conservative, but not this. He has gulped down the Kool-Aid and it's jus too much. Makes me so sad to lose a friend of 40+ years

I finally knitted something for myself! This cocoon sweater will get so much use, especially during these chilly days.

The yarn is Brava Recycled from Knit Picks. It is crazy soft and very washable. My pups love it too!

This is... actually a fairly reasonable takeaway from this year.

Painting of hallway and foyer is complete. So incredibly happy with the color! Family room is next on the agenda.

The doctor's waiting room is playing a video of little animals eating with soft Christmas music playing in the background. It is incredibly soothing

We started painting the foyer and front hall. So happy to get rid of the yellow green from the previous owners. Totally in love with the beachy blue I selected. A new paint color really makes it feel like MY home.

My handsome boy survived the grooming appointment! He took a long nap in my lap as soon as he got home. The extra clinging is totally understandable.

Scoots is at his 1st grooming appt since we adopted him. He is still so afraid of the world, especially if I am not there. He is still learning to be blind. It's only been 3 months since he lost his eyes. I am so nervous for him. It was so hard to walk away from him.

I have things to do this morning, but Mitzi thinks allowing her to snuggle in my lap is the only thing I should do this morning.

Scoots and Mitzi have really bonded. Scoots loves snuggly with her. I think he is drawn to her patient and calm demeanor. He came from such chaos, so he needs to just rest and be loved.
