I’m a big fan of Diego Aguado. First team material imo if everything goes well. He’s one of the academy’s biggest risers in recent years, and his development under Álvaro Arbeloa and Julián Carmona at Juvenil A has been outstanding.

It's also worth noting that this season, as he's left-footed, he's playing as a RCB, which adds an extra difficulty and gives even more merit to the performances he's putting in. His start to the season has been of a high standard both in the league and YL. Has been TOP yesterday against Liverpool.

He’s aggressive in a smart way, closing down shooting angles effectively.

Although he can play at left-back, I like him much more as a centre-back. At 1.83-84m, I’d like to see him grow a bit more physically—it would be perfect.

He positions himself to block the attacker’s path inside while guiding them towards the sideline, where space is limited. This forces the attacker into a less dangerous area, making it easier for Diego to either win the ball, delay the play, or force a turnover.

He has great timing when it comes to stepping in and nicking the ball away from attackers. His pace is a big asset, whether it’s chasing down attackers or covering wide areas. He excels in 1v1 situations out wide, using the byline to his advantage.

Defensively, while there’s room for improvement in areas like physicality and box defending for example, he’s already very reliable. He reads the game well, positions himself intelligently, and defends with calmness and anticipation.

His passing ability is top notch, consistently breaking lines with vision and precision. He’s excellent at switching play, combining accuracy with perfect weight on his passes. He’s tailor-made for a possession-based team.

Notably, he provided a crucial assist for Jaime Barroso in the derby against Atlético Madrid. So far, he has contributed 3 assists for Juvenil A.

His crossing ability is top-notch, consistently delivering pinpoint balls into dangerous areas.

Originally part of the Juvenil B (U-18) squad, Liberto has begun featuring regularly for the Juvenil A (U-19) team this season and he’s doing well.

Liberto Navascués is an attack-minded left-back who can also operate as a winger. He likes to link-up with his teammates, he excels at overlapping runs and breaking forward with intent, often looking to make an impact in 1v1 situations.
