Everyone's mileage with this will differ. I've been pretty lucky. In 4 years I've only had a few issues with minor quests/missions usually connected to map markers bugging out. I can usually fix it by leaving the system and then returning. Due to the game's massive complexity I make allowances.

NMS multiplayer sessions aren't the best for stability regardless of how you're launching the game. Over the weekend the game's discovery servers weren't connecting either so maybe the influx of new players since the update is causing load balancing issues on their servers ... who knows! 🙄

Haha, yeah, I remember the first time I walked into the space anomaly and a stranger gifted me an obscene amount of units! I didn't keep it. I wanted to put in the hours myself but for sure it's one of the best communities I've seen.

I was much the same. I'm now into my 4th year playing it but this is definitely a great time to start your NMS adventure with how the game looks now. 😊
