My ex-boss, Brenda Moon, latterly librarian at University of Edinburgh was his deputy at Hull University library for many years. She knew him well.

Can I ask what you eat at Christmas? In UK, no Thanksgiving obviously, but British traditional Christmas dinner is turkey. Is Turkey specially for Thanksgiving? Must say would be very happy with lasagne for ANY meal, especially my sisters homemade version..yummy!

Same, I care for my 98 Yr old, confined to bed, dad in his house. He is always complaining about being cold and heating + electric fire on 24/7. I have to go stand in rainy cold outside for respite!! Worst in the morning.

Not from the US (I'm Scottish),so no Thanksgiving here, but hope you have a good day and are able to sleep a wee bit easier and more restful tonight.

Empathise so much. Easily fell asleep but awake 2 hrs later for rest of night. Lasted for years but as I got older, it improved. I think, for me, it was partly a menopause issue. Now only on 1 trazadone a night (was on 3) BUT know I won't sleep if I forget to medicate. Stay strong, it gets better.

Not a US citizen but... I'd create a new dept of cleansing and sanitization of MAGA shithousery and make her its only cleaner. Minimum of 70 hrs a week, no staff benefits, no lunch breaks, regular inspection of her work by non-MAGA officials and she has to clean her own brushes and tools too.

Waiting for 2 mattresses to be delivered between 9am and 7pm apparently, putting on multiple loads of washing, looking at increasing pile of clothes for ironing and saying 'to hell wi' that' and then just chillin' with netflix. Not too bad a day really😀

Me too.... apart from the cats and the fiction writing thing! Just being creative enough to write fiction, crap or otherwise, makes you more than ok in my eyes!
