What reads like a negative post is actually a very good one. India gets 20% of its energy from solar and the main worry is disposing of solar panels? Well, that's most certainly not something to worry about, because of technology, regulations and market forces.

Fixing the food system and fostering proper nutrition culture is what is needed alongside these drugs if we want a broader, long term solution, rather than another addiction.

No mention of the people who buy the drugs that cause all this? Isn't that a crucial part of the problem? And while there are addicts, there is also a large large number of regular people doing it socially. Think again of the consequences next time...

I'm so glad I read @mikebernerslee.bsky.social excellent "A Climate of Truth" this year. It makes it a lot easier not to be fooled by words like think-tank, which now only means lobbying / neoliberalism (and thanks to @georgemonbiot.bsky.social "Invisible Doctrine" for opening my eyes on that)

The former Labour leader Tony Blair’s thinktank has pushed for abandoning the pledge to decarbonise electricity and allow for more fossil fuel use several times this year. Not surprising since he receives money from Saudi Arabia. Thinktank = lobbying
