I've realized "Literal" isn't quite it... My brain leans more into the controls being like a machine connected to our IRL ones, so it's only, like, made to "support" specific stuff that would probably be less of a problem in our actual vessel

I'm thinking more of a "They talk, WE don't hear". Specifically. It's like we don't get the privilege of "Hearing their voice", because of the weird circumstances.
I propose, since we were just supposed to control the vessel, those controls wouldn't be ready to show the body's OWN "text boxes"

You accidentally made me realize something... The game Mother 3 (Third Earthbound game that never officially saw the west) had parts where you're controlling other characters... Then they're suddenly a "Silent main character" just because you're controlling them
