Freshmart has always had crazy prices. I haven't been to the Whycocomagh co-op but most of our local grocery stores have no competition, so can price gouge all they want (though the Inverness co-op has relatively decent prices). It's why so many choose to go to Hawkesbury to get their groceries.

Why not build the apartments/restaurant to incorporate the pub in the same old style? 😑 Several small towns here in Cape Breton redid their store fronts to bring back that old style look & they look so much nicer now.
