However, the events in Sheikh Maqsoud pushed us to accelerate the founding process, and today we announce the establishment of American Kurdish Advocates in Washington, D.C.

The organization seeks to influence U.S. policy through democratic means to support our vision for Syria and the American values we believe in, including democracy, human rights, and fair representation.
